🌾 One of Putnam County’s favorite traditions is almost here! 🎨🎶
The 76th Annual Putnam County Fair (March 20–28, 2026) is a great time to see the talents of our PCSD students on full display. From FFA and 4-H livestock projects to student artwork, performances, and exhibits, our students showcase months of hard work, creativity, and dedication for the entire community to enjoy.
These experiences are more than competitions or displays, they are opportunities for students to develop responsibility, leadership, creativity, and real-world skills.

Due to construction activity on the bridge between Palatka and East Palatka this afternoon, bus transportation may experience delays. This only affects a small number of routes serving students who live in areas requiring their buses to cross the bridge. Families of affected students should be aware that buses may arrive later than their normal afternoon drop-off time today. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to monitor the situation and work to ensure students arrive home safely.

At the request of the Florida Department of Health in Putnam County, we are sharing important wildfire health and safety information for our families and community.

• Health risks and who is most vulnerable

Palatka Jr.–Sr. High School juniors and seniors experienced the powerful LifeFlight Experience, beginning with a powerful assembly featuring impactful videos and real-life stories about the consequences of distracted and unsafe driving. Speakers shared what they see every day, and the life-changing consequences that can follow a split-second decision behind the wheel.
The experience continued outside with a mock crash demonstration, where students watched firefighters use the Jaws of Life to extract a patient and witnessed a life flight helicopter land on campus to transport the patient for critical care.
Students also had the opportunity to ask questions and speak directly with first responders.
The message was clear:
Wear your seatbelt.
Put your phone down.
Stay focused behind the wheel.
At PCSD, we’re committed to shaping the future and helping our students make choices that will protect their lives for years to come.
