Congratulations to Lizbeth Espinoza, from Crescent City High School, for receiving the Robert W. Webb Award of Excellence for Putnam County Top Scholars! The award was presented by Doug Webb, Superintendent Rick Surrency, and Palatka Daily News Editor Wayne Smith, at the May 20th Top Scholars Ceremony. For photos of the 119 Top Scholars honored, see the May 20st edition of the Palatka Daily News, sponsor of the ceremony. "Lizbeth Espinoza is the daughter of Enrique and Guadalupe Espinoza. During High School, she has been an active participant in Volleyball, Track, Soccer, and Girls Weightlifting. She has also been a part of National Honor Society, Student Council, and Interact Club. With 140 hours of community service, she will be graduating with her Cambridge Diploma. Upon graduation, Lizbeth plans to attend the University of South Florida to major in biomedicine." All families of students entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2021 are encouraged to attend an information session on Monday, May 24th, at either 10:00AM or 6:00PM. This session will give families tips to get children ready to learn and help complete registration paperwork.

R. J. Larizza, State Attorney for the 7th Judicial Circuit and Superintendent Rick Surrency recognized the nine outstanding students that won the ‘Crime Stoppers’ poster contest at the May 11th School Board Meeting. The theme of this year’s contest was “See it, Say it, Stop it". We are extremely pleased with the participation of our students and are so proud of the winners of the poster contest. A certificate and a cash award (3rd Place - $25, 2nd Place - $50, 1st Place - $100) were given to the winners in each division.
