Attendance Matters: FTE Week is October 6–10!
Every student counts–literally! During FTE Week, the state of Florida calculates school funding based on student attendance. If a student is absent, they are not included in the count, and our schools lose vital funding for teachers, programs, and services.
Make sure your child is in school every day October 6–10! Together, we can give PCSD students the resources they need to succeed.

We're excited to share an opportunity from the Education Foundation of Putnam County, Inc. to celebrate outstanding students in our community! The Foundation is now accepting nominations for the "Successful Citizen Award." This award recognizes students in grades 6–12 who demonstrate:
No disciplinary referrals
Respect, compassion, empathy, and community engagement
A meaningful “passion project” that positively impacts others
Award: $250 per recipient
Deadline: October 10, 2025

Students will enjoy tutoring, STEAM projects, homework help, recreational activities, afternoon snacks, and more — Monday through Thursday at 8 participating schools.
The program begins August 12, 2025.

As we get ready to welcome students back on August 11th for the 2025–2026 school year, we encourage all families to prioritize student health and safety now.
Please ensure your child’s required vaccinations and physical examinations are up to date before the first day of school. Vaccinations can be completed through your child’s healthcare provider or the Putnam County Health Department. If your student will need prescription medication or treatments during school hours, please provide a current, signed physician order. Over-the-counter medications require a signed parent consent form. We start May FAST testing with 3rd grade ELA on Thursday, May 1st. We are encouraging all students in grades K-6 to be at school for testing. Students will earn rewards for each day they are here on the day of testing.
