PCSD Partners with Summer BreakSpot

We’re partnering with Summer BreakSpot to serve up no-cost meals for kid and teens 18  and under while school is out. No application needed!

Summer BreakSpot is a federally funded program facilitated by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS).  

We’re proud to be one of thousands of sites across the state helping to fill the hunger gap by connecting our community’s kids with well-balanced meals and snacks to help them stay full this summer.

In addition to Summer BreakSpot, PCSD offers summer feeding through Drive-Thru Meal Service and Mobile Van Routes!

Drive-Thru Meal Service at C.L. Overturf Jr. District Center

Enjoy the convenience of our drive-thru meal pick-up at the C.L. Overturf Jr. District Center (951 Moseley Avenue, Palatka, FL). Service times are 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM and will begin on June 3rd, 2025 and will run weekly, Tuesday through Thursday, until July 17th, 2025.

Service Days & Times:

Tuesday and Wednesday: Hot lunch & cold breakfast served together
Thursday: Pick up a 5-day shelf-stable meal box (10 meals)

Just drive up and pick up nutritious meals for your kids — no need to leave your car!

*Drive-Thru closed on the following Federal Holidays: Juneteenth (Thursday, June 19th) or Independence Day (Wednesday, July 3rd & Thursday, July 4th)

PCSD Mobile Van Routes

Enjoy the convenience of our mobile vans bringing meals to a stop near you. Service begins on June 3rd, 2025 and will run weekly, Tuesday through Thursday, until July 17th, 2025.

Tuesday through Wednesday: Cold Breakfast & Cold Lunch served together
Thursday: 5-day shelf-stable meal box (10 meals)

*Mobile Routes will not run on the following Federal Holidays: Juneteenth (Thursday, June 19th) or Independence Day (Wednesday, July 3rd & Thursday, July 4th)
