Last week, Q.I. Roberts Jr./Sr. High School opened its doors to nearly 500 sixth-grade students from across Putnam County, offering a first look at what it means to be part of the Q.I.R. community. Over two exciting days, students from nine local elementary schools visited campus for an immersive, high-energy introduction to life at Q.I.
Organized by Assistant Principal Sharice Williams, the event was a full-campus effort. Student ambassadors served as tour guides, leading their younger peers through classrooms, outdoor spaces, and activity showcases. Along the way, visitors met club representatives, sampled Power Hour activities, and even enjoyed lunch in the Q.I. courtyard; getting a true taste of daily life is like.
Teachers from each visiting school also had the chance to tour the campus and see firsthand the engaging, rigorous learning environments that define Q.I. Roberts.
To cap off their visit, each group received a goodie bag filled with Q.I. swag and joined in a spirited chant of “We Are Q.I.” Together, these experiences showcased not just the academic opportunities, but also the school's strong sense of belonging and pride.
The showcase also marked the launch of the Cambridge application season. Families are encouraged to learn more and apply, whether you're a student in Putnam County or beyond. At Q.I., students don’t just attend school; they join a legacy of excellence, opportunity, and community.
We’re proud to welcome the potential future Knights!
