Avre'yana has completed 75 hours of tutoring as part of the R.A.I.S.E. High School Tutoring Program. Completing a minimum of 75 hours earns her the designation from the Florida Department of Education as a New Worlds Scholar for Putnam County School District.  With the support of those around her cheering her on, Avre'yana is the third Palatka High School student and fifth Putnam County School District senior to qualify since beginning the program in 2022. She is one of seven students who have qualified so far for this designation in the 2024-2025 school year!

The mission of the R.A.I.S.E. High School Tutoring program is to recruit, train and deploy eligible high school juniors and seniors who are dedicated to instilling a love of reading and improving literacy skills for K-3rd grade students. We have accomplished this mission! Avre'yana has dedicated her service to building this love of reading and improving literacy skills for K-3rd grade James A. Long elementary school students.
