Putnam County School District (PCSD), in conjunction with the Florida Association of District School Superintendents (FADSS), is pleased to announce the launch of Florida’s Future: Powered by Public Schools, a coordinated, statewide communications initiative. This effort elevates public awareness of the value and positive impact of Florida’s public schools under the unifying theme: Florida’s Future: Powered by Public Schools.
Every Florida school district — including PCSD — achieves remarkable outcomes each day through student success, innovative programs, and meaningful community partnerships. Too often, these stories remain isolated within individual districts. This campaign provides an opportunity to collectively highlight our successes while showcasing the diverse school choice options available exclusively through Florida public schools.
At PCSD, we are proud to exemplify how Florida’s Future is Powered by Public Schools. The recent announcement of Florida’s historic, record-breaking 92.2% statewide high school graduation rate for the 2024–25 school year is mirrored locally by PCSD’s own milestone achievement — a 96.6% graduation rate for the Class of 2025, the highest in district history. This accomplishment reflects the dedication of our students, educators, families, and community partners and reinforces our commitment to shaping the future in Putnam County.
Through this initiative, PCSD will spotlight the programs, people, and positive outcomes driven by the hard work of our students, teachers, administrators, school staff, volunteers, and community partners. These stories underscore why PCSD is the best choice for families in Putnam County and a vital contributor to Florida’s future.
