Twenty-five Putnam County School District students have been selected to participate in the Take Stock in Children program for the 2026–2027 school year.
The students were officially inducted and recognized by Goodwill of North Florida during the program’s New Student Orientation on August 19 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. Superintendent Dr. Rick Surrency delivered the keynote address, congratulating the students on this important opportunity and encouraging them to make the most of the support available through the program.
Through Take Stock in Children, participating students receive ongoing support designed to help them prepare for success beyond high school, including:
A dedicated mentor
College coaching and guidance
Support throughout their academic journey
A
60-credit-hour Florida Prepaid scholarship
upon successful completion of the program
PCSD is proud to celebrate these 25 students as they begin this exciting journey toward college and their future careers.
Congratulations to our newest Take Stock in Children scholars!
