PCSD Crew Club

PCSD Families,

We are excited to announce our plans for the 2026-27 PCSD Extended-Day Programs. Moving forward, we will have a program for after-school care at ALL elementary schools and Mellon Learning Center, Monday-Friday, until 5:30 PM, to better serve our families and community. These programs will be known as the CREW Club. The name CREW represents our focus on Creativity, Resilience, Exploration, and Wellness.

We are actively submitting applications for the 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) grant to support these programs. We want to assure our families that we will offer the extended-day programs regardless of the grant outcome. If awarded, we will use the grant funding to help support the programs. If not, we will use available program subsidies and affordable parent-pay options.

Registration for these programs will open in June, with more details to be sent out soon.

We are applying for 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) grants to support the CREW Clubs at the following school sites:

  • Browning-Pearce Elementary School

  • James A. Long Elementary School

  • Melrose Elementary School

  • Middleton-Burney Elementary School

  • Mellon Learning Center

  • Ochwilla Elementary School

  • Palatka Intermediate School

  • Robert H. Jenkins, Jr. Elementary School

  • William D. Moseley Elementary School

Our PCSD extended-day programs have a proven track record of student success, offering:

  • Creativity: Targeted homework help and engaging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities that build critical thinking and directly align with the academics of the regular school day.

  • Resilience: Engaging exercises designed to teach students how to overcome challenges, manage stress, and build perseverance.

  • Exploration: Structured environments for students to discover new interests and explore academic subjects and career paths.

  • Wellness: Nutritious snacks and meals, fun physical activities, and routines to build positive daily habits. Dedicated educational staff are committed to high-quality care in a safe, supportive environment.

We look forward to seeing our students at the PCSD CREW Club!
