This year’s Putnam Mentor of the Year was awarded to Keenan Henry of Crescent City Jr.-Sr. High School.

TSICFor nearly four years, Keenan has been an instrumental part of the Take Stock in Children program. He currently mentors 10 students and has also helped recruit more than 10 additional students to participate in the program.

In addition to his work as a mentor, he coaches four sports at Crescent City Jr.-Sr. High School. He is deeply committed to helping student-athletes succeed both on the field and in the classroom, encouraging them to remain competitive, focused, and determined in every aspect of their lives.

Through the support of devoted mentors like Keenan and the other honorees, PCSD students in the Take Stock in Children program have the opportunity to earn a 60-credit Florida Prepaid Scholarship, helping make post-secondary education more accessible and attainable.

This year, 21 Take Stock in Children seniors will graduate and begin the next chapter of their educational journeys, supported by the guidance, encouragement, and relationships built through the program.

Putnam County School District is incredibly grateful for the impact these mentors and community partners have on our students and looks forward to the continued success of the Take Stock in Children program.
