Compass Room

PCSD is proud to announce the opening of The Compass Room, a new Family Resource Room designed to help families navigate their child’s educational journey.

This innovative space was developed by Michelle Mikell, PCSD’s Parent & Family Engagement Coordinator, who envisioned a welcoming place where families could access the tools and resources needed to support their child’s success. The project was funded through Title I Parent & Family Engagement funds, ensuring that it directly benefits students and their families.

The Compass Room provides free academic resources, school supplies, and information on local community services. By offering these supports, PCSD aims to empower families as active partners in their child’s education and create stronger connections between home, school, and community.

“We are so excited about this new opportunity to offer resources to our families,” said Mikell. “The Compass Room will help us better serve and support our students and families throughout the district.”

The Compass Room stands as a symbol of PCSD’s ongoing commitment to student achievement by equipping families with the tools they need to guide their children toward success.
