The Putnam County School District officially opened its new employee health center this week, a major milestone in supporting the health and well-being of our staff and their families.
The ribbon cutting ceremony, held Thursday, August 14, 2025, brought together School District staff, leadership, the insurance committee, school board members, and representatives from Marathon Health, the district’s healthcare partner.
Superintendent Rick Surrency welcomed guests and spoke about the positive impact this benefit will have on employees. Andy Burnett and Mark Motl, members on the District's Insurance Committee, had the honor of cutting the ribbon, officially opening the center. Attendees then toured the facility, guided by the center’s staff, who are ready to serve PCSD employees and their covered dependents.
The new Putnam Schools Wellness Center provides free, convenient access to healthcare for PCSD employees and dependents covered under a district health plan. Services include preventive care, acute care, health coaching, and more. All designed to keep our team members healthy and thriving.

“We are committed to providing benefits that truly support our employees,” said Superintendent Surrency. “This center is a tangible example of that commitment.”
