Last week, Arielle Driggers, Putnam County’s 2026 District Teacher of the Year, represented PCSD with pride and purpose at the Florida Teacher of the Year Roundtable Week in Orlando.
Hosted by the Florida Department of Education and Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas, this inspiring event brought together 76 District Teachers of the Year from across the state for a week filled with professional development, celebration, and collaboration.
Arielle was joined by former Putnam County District Teachers of the Year, Katrina Feola and Ian Boze, who were invited to return and participate in the activities. Together, they spent time learning with and from fellow educators, sharing experiences, and celebrating the power of teaching.
The week concluded with the Florida Teacher of the Year Gala, where Mark Harrison, an Economics and American Government teacher at Union County High School, was named the 2026 Florida Teacher of the Year. We congratulate Mark on this prestigious honor and celebrate his outstanding contributions to education.
We commend Arielle for her professionalism, leadership, and the heartfelt pride she brought to representing Putnam County throughout the week.
