Khan Academy and Khanmigo for Grades 9–12

Thanks to additional grant funding from the UF Lastinger Center for Learning and the Florida Tutoring Advantage grant, PCSD is now able to provide Khan Academy and Khanmigo to ALL 9th-12th grade students and their families. 

Khanmigo offers AI-powered tutoring tools that integrate with Khan Academy's educational content. Khanmigo’s Tutor Me feature leverages the Socratic method to guide students to answers through questioning rather than simply providing answers, and features parent and educator controls for safety and oversight. 

Khan Academy for Parents: Quick Start Guide

Welcome to Khan Academy! Parents are key in supporting their children’s learning on Khan Academy. We are here to get you and your child started as quickly and easily as possible.

Step 1: Create or log into your Khan Academy parent account

First things first: if you don’t already have one, you’ll want to create an account for yourself. To do this, go to the Khan Academy home page and click "Log in" or "Sign up" 

Step 2: View your Parent Dashboard

Once you're logged in, you'll see Parent Dashboard. This is your hub for all things Khan Academy for Parents.  

You can always come back to the Parent Dashboard by clicking your name in the top righthand corner, and "Parent Dashboard" from the dropdown. 

If you do not see the Parent Dashboard option in the drop-down menu, double check you have selected the Parent role on your account settings page.

Step 3: Connect your children to your Parent Account

To connect with your child, click on the Add a child button on the Parent Dashboard. You can simply send a parent invitation to that email. They’ll need to log in and accept the invitation from their Learner Home.

  • Select Yes your child already has an account

  • Enter your child's PCSD Email Address

  • Select 'Send Invite'

  • Have your child log in to their account and Accept the Invite (Students will see a notification under their name asking them to 'Accept as Parent' or 'Deny Request')
