The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) adopts course instructional materials depending on the year and subject area. More information on the requirements and procedures set by the state is accessible on the FLDOE website.

During the 2025-2026 school year, PCSD aims to adopt, purchase, and plan for the implementation of a core curriculum for HOPE, Spanish I, and Spanish II.

March 11-30, 2026 | 20-Day Public Review and Feedback Window for additional PCSD staff, parents and guardians of PCSD students, and residents of Putnam County. All selected publisher links and a link to the 25-26 PCSD Instructional Materials Feedback Survey will be available on the website. |
April 15th 2026 (School Board Hearing) 9:00 a.m. | School Board Hearing to hear public comments on the recommended instructional materials. (CANNOT be the same day as the Board Meeting & must also be publicly noticed. It must occur BEFORE the Board Meeting where the Board votes.) |

At the PCSD School Board Meeting on March 10, 2026, the Department of Teaching and Learning, on behalf of the 25-26 PCSD Instructional Materials Review Committee, shared these recommendations in a presentation. A 20-day public review period opened March 11, 2026, and will remain open until March 30, 2026. Additional PCSD staff members, parents & guardians of PCSD students, and residents of Putnam County may provide feedback on the primary and alternate selections using this survey: bit.ly/PCSDFeedbackHopeSpanish
At the PCSD School Board Meeting on April 28, 2026, the Board will vote on whether to accept the recommendations in the 25-26 PCSD Instructional Materials Plan.
