Community Spirit & Brand Pride

PCSD appreciates the support of our local businesses, booster organizations, community partners, and families who help celebrate our schools through spirit wear, fundraising efforts, school events, and community partnerships. These guidelines help ensure district and school branding remains consistent, professional, and representative of the pride of Putnam County Schools.

Ownership & Approval

All Putnam County School District names, logos, mascots, and branding elements are the property of Putnam County School District. Use of district or school branding may be permitted when these guidelines are followed and, when applicable, approval has been granted by the PCSD Communications Department.

PCSD reserves the right to deny or revoke use of district branding that does not align with district standards, values, or branding expectations.

Official logo files should be obtained directly through the Communications Department. Logos copied from websites, screenshots, or social media are not considered approved production files.

Logo Usage Guidelines

DO

• Use only official logo files provided by the PCSD Communications Department

• Maintain original colors, spacing, and proportions

• Use logos in a professional and positive manner

• Request approval when producing merchandise, apparel, signage, or promotional materials

• Represent schools and the district consistently with PCSD brand standards

DO NOT

• Alter, redraw, stretch, rotate, or distort logos

• Change logo colors or fonts

• Add graphics, effects, outlines, or additional wording to official marks

• Use low-quality screenshots or copied images from websites or social media

• Use district or school logos in any way that implies official endorsement without approval

• Sell merchandise using PCSD branding without authorization

The boat is a nod to the older logo

The semi-circle conveys inclusivity and provides a protective border around our resources: our land, the bodies of water that define our area, our kids on their journey to adulthood and the hopeful future of life after graduation

Our horizontal lockup is our main logo and should be used in most applications.

The horizontal lockup is made up from our icon and a typographical composition made specifically for our district. Please avoid typing it out. Based on a gothic and geometric typography, our typographical logo can be easily read in large artwork as well as in small documents.

Our vertical logo is composed of two parts as well: our icon that sits on top of our typographical logo. This lockup can be used in narrow spaces, like vertical banners, shirts or seals.

Allowed

Our logo will be used on in many different backgrounds. In this section you will find how to use our logo accordingly, depending on the background type.

By avoiding modifications to the logo, our brand identity will be consistently portrayed for better recognition and stronger impact.
