CTE Programs at Crescent City Jr./Sr. High School

Agritechnology & Animal Science Services

The Agritechnology & Animal Science Service program is designed to prepare students for employment or advanced learning in horticulture and landscape industries. Students will learn and work hands-on with various types of farming equipment and animals. While also learning about the safety and use of high technology equipment.

Allied Health Assisting

The Allied Health Assisting program prepares students for employment as a certified Administrative Medical Assistant or to continue their studies in the Health Science field. Students will have the opportunity to perform hands on skills in the classroom and clinical skills in various medical facilities throughout Putnam County. Students will also be able to choose an area of specialization.

Business Management & Entrepreneurial Principles

Business Management & Entrepreneurial Principles provides rigorous courses that challenge academic and technical standards that provide students with the skills that will prepare them for a career in the field of Business Management and Administration.

Criminal Justice

Covering law enforcement, the corrections department, and the court system, the criminal justice program encourages students to enter careers in this high demand industry. Students will learn how to become a leader and motivate others while also having the opportunity to enroll in college classes.

Diversified Education Program/OJT

The Diversified Education Program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to correlate skills and knowledge developed in the classroom with those applied on jobs. Classroom instruction and on-the-job experience provide students a path to success as they move towards full-time employment.

Emergency Medical Technician

The EMT program prepares students for employment as emergency medical technicians to function at the basic pre-hospital emergency medical technician level and treat various medical/trauma conditions using appropriate equipment materials. This program is available through Dual Enrollment at SJRSC.

Welding

Applied Welding Technologies prepares students for employment or advanced training in a variety of occupations within the welding industry. The program combines hands-on fabrication activities with classroom theory, providing an excellent comprehensive career foundation.
