Seniors, save the date! Don't forget about the FAFSA Frenzy at SJR State next Monday night. This is a community outreach. You do not need to be going to SJR State to attend this event. This is for anyone planning on attending a trade school, college or university. This is where Pell Grants are given and scholarship money that colleges have to give away. Remember, most colleges give away all of their money by December so take advantage of this night.
Go let the professionals help you for free!!! This is the only time that they will offer this type of evening.
Some parents may say "we don't qualify for Pell Grants so we aren't going to do this." Mrs. Ogle's family doesn't qualify for Pell Grants either, but this is how her daughters received scholarships from the colleges they attended. Seriously!!!
If you are planning on going to UNF, they have a special incentive for you to receive more money if you finish your FAFSA by Oct 14th and are Pell Grant eligible.
SJR will be here at PJSHS Friday during your lunch to help you create your account so parents are invited to attend to upload their financial documents at that time. This is the first step. Lunch will be provided to those who come to the Panther Den on Friday work on their FAFSA.
Students in grades 7-11 who are interested in mentoring support with the benefit of financial award upon graduation are encouraged to consider being a part of the Take Stock In Children mentorship program.
