Testimonials

There are so many good things I can say about QI from a parent’s and educator’s point of view. For now, I will be a proud momma. My son Logan thrived at QI. He was comfortable and always felt supported by his teachers and peers. Being so at ease allowed him to succeed without the stresses encountered at typical high schools. Students at QI, for the most part, are here to learn and advance themselves. Those were his people! With the help of his amazing teachers, he earned his Cambridge Diploma as a junior, leading him to earn his Full Bright Futures Scholarship. Even better than that, due to the quality education he received here at QI, he was awarded the Provost Scholarship from UCF. Not only is his tuition paid for through Bright Futures but the university sends him a check every semester that pays for his off campus housing! He is getting paid to go to school! As a mom, you can’t ask for more than that!

Looking back I would never change the experience I had at QI to go to a "regular high school". The traditional high school experience is overrated as is and honestly I'm not really sure what I missed out on aside from maybe a little bit more drama.

A lot of people always say " well we don't have sports" but in truth this is for the better, my experience being a high school athlete at PHS while attending QI was something I cherished a lot. In fact almost half of the PHS soccer team came from QI and I actually loved leaving QI and going to a different school to practice with people I didn't see everyday and making new friends. Another aspect of this was that some of the other soccer players at QI over the years would play for rival schools and this made it fun to play against guys I went to school with which otherwise you don't, so it was a nice healthy competition.

Academically I would say that QI being a smaller school allowed me to have a closer relationship with my teachers as well and I can honestly say that some of these teachers have become some of the most influential people in my life. The smaller class sizes also made it easier to pay attention and being a smaller school overall kind of eliminated a lot of the cliques that you would normally see on campus and honestly I can say that I have talked to everyone in my grade and people I might have thought of as weird or any other stereotypes I got to become friends with as I was kind of  unintentionally urged to interact with them because of the school being smaller.

While now I am ready for a change of scenery I know that I have grown a lot as a person and will always hold close memories of school pep rallies, being a powderpuff cheerleader, and even playing soccer with my principal at this school. As a future alumni of this school I will always hold the school, teachers, and staff in high regard as I go on to the next chapter of my life. Go Knights!

QI honestly helped me be more prepared for college even a state away! College has been pretty easy and an easy adjustment
