Resources for Project Based Learning

Project based learning encourages students to explore real-world problems and challenges. When actively engaged in project based learning students will obtain a deeper knowledge of the subjects they're studying while developing other skills. In the process of completing projects, students gain organizational and research skills, develop better communication skills and are encouraged to become lifetime learners.

Research indicates students are more likely to retain knowledge gained through project based learning than through traditional textbook-centered learning. In addition, students develop confidence and self-direction as they move through both team-based and independent work.
