Moseley Elementary School is one of three schools in the state to be chosen by the National Foundation for Governors’ Fitness Councils (NFGFC) and the State of Florida to become a National Champion School. The NFGFC is committed to breaking the current cycle of childhood obesity by providing schools with new resources to get students fit.
Moseley Elementary School was selected for their commitment to physical fitness and wellness education. Moseley Elementary School stood out among other schools by demonstrating their proactive commitment to physical education and overall student success. Moseley continues to strive towards its health and fitness goals.
NFGFC and the State of Florida are helping achieve these goals by awarding Moseley with a $100,000 Live Positively Fitness Center. The new fitness center will feature state-of-the-art strength training and cardio fitness equipment, along with interactive exercise games.
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new fitness center is scheduled for October.
